This year, we are delighted to welcome 16 year old Harriet Duffield as our Show Judge. Harriet has experience of judging at prestigious events, as well as fun shows, and is an up and coming member of the Young Kennel Club and Junior Handling Associations. Harriet is the current South West Junior Handler of the year 2025 (& 2023).
Her first official judging appointment was at the age of 14 years and she aspires to soon become a judge of breed classes at Open Show level. Harriet has shown her own dogs at Championship and Open Show level for 7 years, regularly attends Crufts and also takes part in the Young Kennel Club dog handling finals. Her mother, Leah Duffield, will act as her Steward.
Harriet is an inspiration to all our young people. We look forward to meeting both Harriet and Leah at our show.
The picture above is from the 2017 Dog Show. We are hoping for a dry warm day for 2025!!
This is a wonderful day out for all the family. You will find a cup of tea/coffee in the village hall and an array of home made cakes.
There are many activities and games like the Coconut Shy, Wellie Throwing, as well as lots of stalls. Bring along your pooch to the Dog Show! If your tipple is something stronger you will find the team from The Bell Inn serving drinks. If BBQ food is more to your liking then we can provide. Music is provided by Martin and the whole event has a lovely atmosphere. And don't forget the very popular Snail Race, run by our lovely Kate.
It takes a great deal of effort to set up the Fete and new helpers are always very welcome.
